A recent NASA report claims that approximately 60% of the ozone layer over the artic has now disappeared. Increased severity of weather patterns around the world are attributed to this factor alone, and the social, political and economic implications for the next generation, and their children, as forests disappear and desertization increases, are horrible to comprehend.

Bamboo is the fastest growing canopy for the regreening of degraded lands, and is without doubt the most effective combat to deforestation. It's 30% more effective in oxygen renewal than trees and certain bamboo can even absorb up to 12 tons of carbon dioxide from the air per hectare.

Bamboo avoids erosion, contains rivers, protects from wind and provides poor communities with a staple raw material that can be used for both food and shelter, all within a sustainable means.

When sourcing our bamboo, we will only work with sustainable farms that follow a strictly ethical harvesting process. In return, we pay a fair price, ensuring benefits for the community as a whole. Thus far, we have worked with suppliers from China , Brazil , Columbia and Vietnam .

Regulations within the EU demand that a flame retardant PVC is used in the production and utilisation of temporary structures, whether for public or private use. This involves chemical treatment of the material to apply a flame retardant coating. As a result we use a supplier that re-cycles the PVC at the end of its useful life, so it can be used again in a myriad of other applications.

It really is a green tent!
